Tuesdays 9pm to 10pm

Wireless Warbles brings you some of the latest new releases of Indie and Americana music which go often unnoticed by the mainstream and just need to be heard, as well as essential classic tracks. As I discover every week, there’s loads of great new music out there! Please visit the Wireless Warbles Facebook and Instagram pages for regular postings as well as the Wireless Warbles Mixcloud page to catch up on all of the previous shows as broadcast on CRMK.

A part-time chemical engineer and runner with an almost lifelong interest in music, whether it’s off to see bands or spending too much on records and CDs. My earliest musical memory is seeing the Beatles on TV (Thank Your Lucky Stars) and until 1976 the record collection consisted of five Beatle LPs, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Gorilla and Keynsham by The Bonzos. The late seventies was for me when music started to get interesting. Listening to the John Peel Show, sharing music with friends from school and university made me realise there was a whole lot more beyond Radio 1’s weekly Top 40 singles chart. Since then I’ve mainly followed artists outside of the mainstream with a bias towards my Mancunian roots. My involvement with CRMK began as one member of the small team involved in renovating a redundant and much neglected public convenience in Newport Pagnell into the fine broadcasting radio studio it has become. The ultimate intent was to present a radio show which had been a long held ambition as an outlet for all of the music I’d accumulated over 40 years. I still love going to see bands and artists live, and preparing the show Wireless Warbles maintains a personal interest in finding and collecting new music as well as interacting via social media with some of the musicians and bands who end up getting their songs played on the show. It’s a break away from designing petrochemical production plants.
